Negotiations underway for two new homeless shelters in Utah

Information released late Friday shed answers on where two new homeless shelters may quickly be operating; the plan would have them open in just several months.

In response to questions from 2News, the City of South Salt Lake said it is “aware that Shelter the Homeless, Inc has purchased property at 315 West 3300 South.”

That building has been a Motel 6, though the city said it “has yet to receive an application” on the intended use of the property going forward.
