today's video i'm going to be sharing with you what it takes for you to actually create change in your life because we all have these dreams and aspirations to change and to become our best self and to achieve x y and z but most the time we do not take the consistent action required to get there and i'm going to be sharing with you why that is so so to get right to it the exact moment is going to be when it is less painful to change than it is to stay the same and that is definitely a cliche quote that is repeated so much that it almost desensitizes its meaning because it's become this motivational quote but the reason that it is used so many times is because there's truth to it a lot of times those quotes that are repeated over time is because it's accurate there's truth to it so it's probably not what you wanted to hear but it's the truth so unless your comfort zone becomes more painful than the pain required to change you're not going to do anything and i know this first hand from experience i've had multiple moments in my life where life has been uncomfortable and it's prompted me to make change in my life but one of the most memorable was when i went to thailand i irresponsibly stayed for six weeks rather than my planned two weeks and you know i used and i spent a lot of money there and i was kind of in a relationship throughout that time but then we broke up on the trip and before i went to thailand my lease was up so you know i planned after thailand um you know might just stay with my boyfriend for a little bit until i find an apartment and i had a job at the time as a waitress downtown san diego but you know it was not planned that i was going to break up with my boyfriend on the trip and so when i got home i had no apartment and i had to stay in a hostel for six weeks so luckily my license was from my hometown bakersfield california so i was able to stay in a hostel in san diego because you cannot stay at a hostel if you live in that city because it's supposed to be for travelers a hostel is basically very inexpensive place to stay for travelers and you kind of just share bunk beds in a room and there's like showers and you know it's very minimal but it's very inexpensive so i did that for six weeks because you can only stay at one for two weeks at a time and i will even add a picture i remember i took this picture and i was just like you know what i'm done i'm fed up with this i'm literally homeless right now and i did have a job at the time but i did not have enough at the time to put a down payment on an apartment so i needed those six weeks to kind of work and save up on money and i actually had two jobs at the time but i spent literally all of my money in thailand and you know again did not expect to not have a relationship to hopefully lean on so yeah i was basically homeless and i had to stay in hostel i didn't tell anyone about it and i didn't even tell my family about it i'm sure they would have helped me if i asked but you know i was too embarrassed and i was just fed up i was sick and tired of being where i was i was sick and tired of not having enough money to get an apartment and i remember that was one of the pivotal and that was one of the pivotal moments in my life where i decided i'm not going to rely on anyone i need to make change because i'm sick and tired of this you know thank the lord that i was able to stay at a hostel because if my license was issued in san diego you wouldn't be able to because they don't want like homeless people coming in so yeah um but yeah i just remember that moment and you know from then on on top of my two jobs i started my entrepreneurial ship journey i started creating sales funnels
