Without wasting your time , lets us begin .
First of all I will like share about the concept of dropshipping.
So , dropshipping is a method where you post and sell a product on your Shopee store , without having the products with you .
The products is with your supplier , and your supplier will do all the packing and shipping for you .
The process of the entire dropshipping ecosystem will be , you client buy the product from your shopee , store , you buy the product from your supplier , your supplier will pack and sent the product for you from their warehouse.
So , all this while you never touch , see the product at all .Ok , so this is the concept of dropshipping.
In short , it is just another way of getting your product from your supplier. Nothing fancy about it AT ALL.
Lets do a quick comparison with a stokist.
So , a stokist will need to buy in bulk , upload their products on shopee , do marketing , logo , product branding , when a customer buy they will need to pack and ship on their own.
Whereelse for a dropshipper,
You upload your products on shopee , do marketing , logo , product branding , when a customer buy , your supplier will pack and ship for you . That is it.
Ok , I hope this is clear enough.
Next ,the biggest mistake of a dropshipping do.
Plainly just uploading products without doing any marketing , logo and product branding .Alot of dropshipper complaint that , everyone is using this method in Shopee , dropshipping is so competitive .
NO , you are god damn wrong . Dropshiping is not competitive , but the whole marketplace it is competitive . business itself is competitive .
So , if you do not have any marketing strategy , no logo no branding , you are 100% is going to fail .
Next , I also want to touch abit on overseas dropshipping.
There are 2 type of dropshipping supplier one is manual dropshipping and the other will be auto sync dropshipping.
Manual dropshipping will be aliexpress , madeinchina.com , where else autosync will be chinabrands or cj dropshipping .
Some of the disadvantages of overseas dropshipping will be long shipping duration , it may be abit hassle for return and refund .
Therefore , for beginner I will strongly suggest you to start with your own local supplier . With local supplier all these product will be solved.
How does overseas dropshipping works?
Just for an example , for aliexpress . So you want to sell this necklace on your Shopee store . In general all you need to do is grab this photo , upload it on your Shopee store , after putting up your company logo , branding and also USP .
When people buy , you just need to buy from Aliexpress , by putting your customer”s address , and mention to the seller , this is for dropshipping , do not put invoice .
And make sure you check how long it will takes.
To sum things up, the effort in running a dropship Shopee store ,it will be the same as running as a stokist . You have to put in 101% effort in making it happen. See ya
