A newly passed law will help Singapore bolster protection against online content used to facilitate scams and other malicious cyber activities. The two-hour Parliament debate on the Online Criminal Harms Bill saw MPs from both sides asking what the legislation will mean for e-commerce platforms, and how the law will apply to harmful online activities perpetrated from overseas. Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh also said the Workers' Party supports this bill, unlike the previous two legislations on online falsehoods and foreign interference.
