Back in the day, I had a dropshipping store stocked with cat stuff. Among all the things that were in this store, there was one clear champion: a gray t-shirt with the cutest pocket kitty ever. But when you pull down the pocket, this kitty shows you a cheeky middle finger! ????
Sales were going great, especially with ladies and teachers aged 45 and up. But then Facebook changed its policy: «no more middle fingers in posts». Sales took a nosedive, and before I knew it, I had to shut the store down.
So, what’s the takeaway?
1) E-commerce is the real deal.
2) It’s not smart to rely solely on one platform.
3) You have to figure out how to turn your customers into your fans.
