Is Social Media Really Causing All the Insecurity in People

A common narrative around social media is that it is "bad" and the cause for so much of the insecurity and anxiety people have. Social media is very undeserving of these criticisms as it is simply an empty pipe that we all collectively decide what to fill with. What you decide to fill the pipes with and what you decide to consume through social media is entirely up to you. If you want to find positivity and inclusiveness on social media, it is there. If you want to find exclusivity and luxury living it is there. we need to stop demonizing social media because the opportunity it provides and the benefits it has completely outweighed the small group of people "showing off" on it.
