Learn how to cancel a sale on eBay as a seller! Canceling a sale as an eBay seller is quick and easy when you understand the process. Follow these simple steps to properly cancel an order:

Here’s how sellers can cancel an order:

1. Open your eBay Seller Hub and go to your Orders (or in My eBay, go to Sold).
2. Find the order that you want to cancel. Select the dropdown arrow (or the “more actions” button), and select “Cancel this order”.
3. Choose the reason that you need to cancel the sale, and then select Continue to finish.

When you cancel an order, a full refund will be automatically issued to your buyer. Once the buyer has been refunded, you should receive your selling fees back.

If you canceled the order because of an issue with the buyer’s address, or if your buyer requested the cancelation, your seller standards won't be affected. But remember...if you cancel the order because of a mistake that you made (such as a lost or damaged product), you’ll receive a seller defect on your account! Chose you seller cancellation option wisely!


Final tips:

- You can cancel an order up to 30 days after a sale (even if your buyer has already paid).
- If you cancel a sale and want to sell an item again, don’t forget to resist or restock your item!
