Egyptian E-commerce Startup Fatura Raises 7-figure Funding Round

Egypt’s B2B eCommerce marketplace Fatura has raised a seven-figure (USD) seed round led by Egyptian fintech-focused VC Disruptech along with the participation from FG EV and the Cairo Angels, reports DisruptAfrica.

Founded in 2019 by Hossam Ali, Ahmed Anwar, Abdullah Mohebeldi, Fatura connects wholesalers in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) space with the retailers through its mobile application, enabling them to order the inventory for their stores. The startup aims to become the largest e-wholesaler in Egypt and Africa by being a one-stop-shop for more than 1500 SKU’s.

According to AfrikanHeroes, another Egyptian player MaxAb has raised US$6.2 million in the seed round and is in the process of closing another round.
