Business with Alibaba how to make money on goods from China pros and cons, shipment of goods Business idea

We consider the basic principles of working with Alibaba, a global platform for wholesale trade. Key points to know for business development and cooperation with Asian suppliers.
Alibaba.com is one of the leading platforms for global wholesale trade, which serves suppliers and buyers from more than 190 countries. Doing business with Alibaba is an opportunity to find partners primarily from Asia, but also from Europe and America. On this site sell and buy almost everything from small household goods to machines for factories.
The main competitors of Alibaba are such e-commerce platforms as Amazon, Ebay, Tradekey, DTAD, Europages. The strengths of the Chinese site, due to which it successfully competes with such giants, are cheap labor in the region, well-thought-out algorithms of recommendations and optimization of transport flows.
Differences between Alibaba and Aliexpress.
If very briefly and in simple words, Aliexpress is retail, and Alibaba is wholesale. Both resources belong to one Chinese company, Alibaba Group. In the first case, you can buy goods in retail piece by piece or small wholesale as an ordinary individual. That is, by putting the goods in the cart and paying for the purchase. In the second, you purchase goods directly from the supplier in bulk, here sellers set minimum order quantities. Basically, the site presents Asian suppliers.
Unlike Aliexpress, there are almost no quick deals on Alibaba, because goods from China go through customs, so logistics are discussed with the seller.
In general, the site is focused on the b2b sector and trade between organizations, on the delivery of products in large batches. That is, it is used by wholesale buyers from different countries to resell goods at home with a markup.
Another key difference from AliExpress is that Alibaba does not give exact prices for goods. Sellers indicate only approximate ranges. You will find out the exact amount when coordinating the order and communicating with the vendor. But, as a rule, prices on Alibaba are 20, 30% lower, since we are talking about wholesale.
