Alibaba's shares have plunged more than 8 per cent in Hong Kong. The drop came as Chinese authorities launched anti-trust probes for "suspected monopolistic practices". It is alleged that the firm required e-commerce merchants to choose only one trading platform as their exclusive distribution channel, instead of being allowed to work with others.
