Police have announced the first charges under a new National Security Law in Hong Kong. Authorities said that a man drove his motorbike into a group of officers on Wednesday during protests, wounding three. The demonstrations were in response to the new National Security Law for Hong Kong which was enacted on Tuesday. Also, Beijing has reiterated that the new National Security Law guarantees the long-term stability of Hong Kong. This came in response to a recent statement from the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, which said it still regards the city as an international hub for business.
