Alibaba Stock Is Ripe For The Picking: $BABA //// Let me show you how to sift through Alibaba’s income statement and statement of cash flows to understand their financials really well. We can run my discounted cash flow model together to see if the stock is a buy or a sell. We are also analyzing the financial ratios to see how they compare to their competitors. - Alibaba is a Chinese e-commerce, retail, Internet, and technology company. It has 3 main websites Taobao.com, Tmall.com & Alibaba.com. Taobao.com offers customer to customer services where individuals or businesses can sell items on the site. It is similar to ebay where it acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. It does not warehouse products and deliver them like Amazon does. It is the 8th most visited website in the world. Amazon is ranked 11th. Tmall.com offers B to C services. Only the brand owner or authorized dealer can operate a Tmall store. For example: Tencent may use Tmall to sell it products. Alibaba.com is one of the world's largest B2B marketplaces. Any company can sell on Alibaba.com not just chinese companies. Most transactions are processed using Alipay which is similar to paypal. In 2019 alipay processed $17 trillion USD in transactions while paypal only processed $172bn.

- Just this week Warburg Pincus cut its valuation of Ant Group by 15% to below $200 billion. Other investments banks also cut their valuation of Ant Group. Ant Group is an affiliate of Alibaba and owns Alipay. In October 2020, Ant Group was set to raise $34.5 billion USD in the world's largest IPO ever. On the eve of the IPO, the Chinese govt stopped the process from moving forward. Ant Group was transformed into a financial holding company overseen by China's state-controlled central bank.

- BABA is one of the largest, most valuable & most identifiable brands in the world. It has 1.2bn active users on its different platforms.

- The company is headquartered in Hangzhou (Hong-Joe), China and was founded in 1999

- It trades on the NYSE, Mexican Bolsa, Deutsche Borse, LSE, Xetra, Vienna, Swiss, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong & Bulgaria stock exchange
