Alibaba Signs Agreement With GINgroup To Boost E-Commerce In Mexico

Atomic88-Alibaba Business School has announced an agreement with GINgroup, which aims to promote e-commerce in Mexico. According to Contxto, both companies will aim to promote the digital economy through awareness programs, training, and network in the country. GINgroup will collaborate with Global E-Commerce Talent (GET), a program that is responsible for training and certification. Under this program, 200 people will get the opportunity to be trained at Alibaba Group’s training center in Mexico: Atomic88. A project will be developed which will create Digital Villages with the National Conference of Governors (CONAGO) that will be replicated in 32 states. About 1000 university students and 50 micro businesses will be trained per village. The same model was tested by Alibaba Group in China 10 years ago with 4000 digital villages. The model was successful in uplifting 50 million people out of poverty.
