Zheng Junfang, Alibaba Group Chief Risk Officer, shares a message on the occasion of the launch of the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2020.

Published on September 2, 2020, the GII 2020 ranks the innovation performance of 131 countries and economies around the world. Under the “Who Will Finance Innovation” theme, this year’s edition looks into a long-held business and policy concern: How to boost innovation-driven entrepreneurship and social, cultural and economic growth. The GII 2020 also investigates the pressing need for new methods of innovation funding in a post-COVID world.
