1. List on B2B Marketplaces:
Start listing on B2B marketplaces within your country and test the waters first, before launching your own website.

2. Prepare a Business Plan: Next step is to prepare a business plan so you know your Operating costs, margins, and break-even sales to be achieved.

3. Price your products: Pricing shall make or break your b2b e-commerce model. Do thorough competitor research before pricing your products and do not price them on simple cost + margin maths. Check if your pricing is at par with the customer's perception of value pricing.

4. Select target regions: You must do data-driven market research to identify the regions where there is maximum demand for your products. This would help in geo-targeting these cities/areas while marketing.

5. Build your website:
When you are ready with your research i.e. appropriate pricing, demand analysis, & competitor research & if your business plan looks promising, where you are comfortable with the investments and ROI, it's the time to start with your own B2B e-commerce website. Here I would like to add a disclaimer: When it comes to an e-commerce
website, just building it won't help, it requires regular fuel i.e. digital marketing budget to get visitors and create awareness, I hope have accounted for the same in your business plan.

6. SOPs: You are operating a digital business and it cannot be operated in an unorganized way. Bad processes can end up in unhappy customers and bad reviews can affect your online sales. Ensure you have SOPs defined for your team who are directly or indirectly interacting with your customers. via call, email, social media reviews, etc. You must build a seamless online buying experience for your customers to ensure repeat buying. Poor processes shall also lead to loss of trust and rebuilding it would be a very expensive affair, so start in an organized way or do not start until you are ready.
