2 sales in 9 months... what's WRONG?! Helping out a desperate business owner

Today I'm responding to a Reddit post asking for help.
Their local business has only generated 2 sales online in 9 months of activity.

Clearly, there is something wrong with the website.

But providing positive and constructive feedback is harder than laughing or ridiculing this honest business owner who’s trying to make a living out of a respectful ties/hats/accessories business.

I tried to go in-depth to review the website, and clearly why it does not follow generally admitted best practices, and what should be done specifically to fix the main issues.

A lot of the things that are wrong can be fixed in a few steps:
- Use a default Shopify template
- Simplify the structure/flow and remove unnecessary elements
- Use readable and consistent fonts, with big enough sizes that all texts are readable
- Make sure all images have consistent sizes/dimensions
- Be more personal and present yourself, your team, your business values & mission
- More generally, try to follow common best practices in e-commerce website designs (observe what other sites in your industry are doing; get inspiration from things you like on other people's websites).
