The Souled Store is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) merchandise platform founded in 2013 by four friends who were passionate about pop culture and felt there was a gap in the Indian e-commerce market for official merchandise: Vedang Patel, Aditya Sharma, Rohin Samtaney, and Harsh Lal.
The founders, who include engineers and a lawyer, started the company with an initial investment of INR 1.75 lakh and a cupboard full of clothes. They noticed that while Amazon and Flipkart offered many options, the niche for pop culture merchandise was largely unexplored.
